2013 will be an excellent year!

The New Year is just around the corner. Today is the last day of 2012 and I hope you are satisfied when looking back to the past year. With the financial crisis still around it may have been a challenging year for many. Last week Germany’s finance minister said in an interview that he expects that the worst of the crisis may be behind us and that he expects good growth [for the German economy] in 2013.

Predictions are difficult to make, the Mayans tried it and we are all still here.
Some of the explanations however tell us that the Mayans predicted that it would be the end of the world as we know it. From that perspective if the German finance minister is right the Mayans are right too. We may have seen the worst of the crisis and with growth the world will change. Change generally comes with opportunities and I hope you are prepared to capture that opportunity to make 2013 into an excellent year for you (you do know that alliances and partnerships can be excellent ways to capture opportunities and execute upon them?!).

A new year usually also comes with new, or adjusted, plans, goals and New Year resolutions. Also for me; my plans and goals for 2013 are centered on growth and excellence. My main goal thereby is to help you and other customers to create excellence with your alliances and partnerships by providing coaching and training. One of my plans to reach that goal is to grow the team in Simoons & Company allowing me to free up more of my personal time that subsequently can be spent with you on coaching and training.

On the personal front the year holds some milestones too. Charlotte, one of my daughters, will leave to Africa to conduct a year of voluntary work with Project Trust right after her school exam. As Project Trust is a charity, raising sponsorship is an important part of the preparation, which will be a separate topic for a future newsletter. Starting on the 15th of April I will take a few weeks myself to walk the 800 km Camino Francés from St Jean Pied de Port in Southern France to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

And you, what are your plans for 2013 and how can I help you make it an excellent year?

Have a great New Year’s Eve and enjoy the first week of the year!

PS: The Alliance Mastery workshop is already scheduled for 6 days in 2013, with the first one coming up on 1 Feb Read the details and enjoy the early booking benefits.

PS2: One of my New Year resolutions: “NO” is not an option!
