M&A or Alliances

Both M&A and Alliances need time to find the proper candidate and develop the partnership or acquisition. Alliances are to a lesser extend governed by regulations that need to be taken into account, however don’t think that with that an Alliance will be an easier way to success. Many Alliances fail due to poor preparation and the partners only find out while they are a while into the journey and lots of money has been spent already. As Alliances are more loosely coupled they also offer the opportunity for an easy split when no longer necessary.
