Mary Jo Asmus owns an interesting blog containing valuable content on leadership. Today’s article is about behaviors leaders may show that prevent their teams from responding properly. Resulting in situations where the leader may think his/her team is wrong. When looking at the 6 behavior examples in Mary Jo’s article one will undoubtedly recognize the examples. I did recognize the examples myself and felt they somehow seemed to show a lot in some of the larger companies I know, which made me wonder what role an organization’s culture does play in the behavior of it’s leaders. It should be the leader who’s setting an exemplary role. If many of them show a similar behavior is it in that case the culture that enables and even promotes a certain behavior?
