Recently the Middle East airlines all more or less moved in one week time in some kind of alliance. This article and the interview below with the Quatar CEO Al Baker shows once again that alliances will only work in in a cooperative way. Al Baker explains why he did not join Star Alliance but OneWorld instead. It was due to a hostile behavior of one of the members of the Star Alliance and in fact a warming cooperative behavior of one of the members of OneWorld. Perhaps a matter of cultural fit?
